"Muslim," "Arab," and "Islam" are not interchangeable terms. Islam refers to the religion itself. Muslims are the followers of Islam. Arabs are a linguistic and cultural community with a common history.

Most, but not all, Arabs are Muslims.

The Bedouin image of Arabs is outdated. Most Arabs live in cities, towns and villages. Bedouins make up about 2% of the population in the Arab World.

Spiritual Hunger behind the veil:
Since the day she was born, her culture has been molding the Arab woman's thinking, attitudes, values, and activities.
In such a world she stands and finds herself unable to make much of a difference in her own life or her world; this is especially true with the changes that are taking place today in the Arab World. Changes from many sides: political, social, cultural, and economical; all these profoundly affect the Arab woman.
